Outriders Meetup in Warsaw 2018 coincides with the News Impact Academy, an effort of both the European Journalism Centre and Google News Initiative. Our main goal for this meetup was to surface different tactics and stories to build business models based on audience engagement.

Membership Puzzle Project – Emily Goligoski

The Membership Puzzle Project is a collaboration between the Dutch journalism platform De Correspondent and New York University.

What you need to turn your publication into a membership business – Sebastian Esser, Krautreporter

Krautreporter is a German news website that has been online since October 2014. The financing of the platform was done by crowdfunding. This is to guarantee independent journalism without advertising.
