Who is Trevor Knoblich?
Trevor connects journalists to emerging tools, technology, training and resources, and leads programming for our annual conference and beyond. Before joining ONA, Trevor served as Project Director at FrontlineSMS, a 2011 Knight News Challenge winner, where he helped build mobile messaging tools for journalists and media outlets. He also led trainings with media outlets around the world to improve their ability to gather, track and share news with mobile technology. He has presented at global media events, including the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum, the International Summit for Community Wireless Networks and SXSW. He has also given a number of university class lectures on the use of mobile technology in areas of limited broadband connectivity. His work can be seen on the FrontlineSMS blog, as well as the PBS Idea Lab blog. Previously, Trevor worked as a federal policy reporter in Washington, DC, as well as a global humanitarian specialist.
